5 Evergreen Clean
Posted by Kyle M. on Mar 14th 2025
Love a good bar of soap. My former favorite was a coconut-oil soap from a local farmers market, also have used the 'Lump of Coal' soap and liked that - but a while back I tried the Diamond-G soap and it's even better in my opinion than these others. It's a soft soap once it gets wet so you need to keep the bottom from getting soft. The simplest thing is just a bit of crinkled up tinfoil to set the soap on to dry. The air pockets let it dry all around. I'm sure there are fancier ones - I have bought soaps before that come with little wood ones that are branded (hint-hint) but the main idea is to keep it from staying wet and melting . You just need a bit on a washcloth and it does the trick - you'll notice the water actually turning white going to the drain as the soap reacts with the water when you rinse off. I had a skin rash on my face that would get worse in the summer - it's pretty much solved at this point (though I have been rubbing a bit of Castor Oil on my face as a moisturizer after showering) and I credit that to the soap as well. I also use it to wash my hair - just a tiny bit or a once-over-the-top with the bar, scrub with the washcloth from earlier, and it keeps the hair from being greasy but not dried out (I'm a guy though may be different for women). Bought a few bars initially and then just re-ordered a box of 20 - should last me a while, was a good deal, and they are a nice item to put into gift baskets. Love that packaging.
